In the first workshop in the spring French Village Sketchbook series we'll sketch a view of the village overlooking a local vineyard.  We'll also do a 'warm-up' sketch learning more about a typical French breakfast (and if a croissant is really French?!) 

We'll bring both of our sketches to life by adding watercolour step-by-step.

Previous sketching experience is not essential but I recommend you do have

• a sketchbook with smooth paper 150gsm+
• a pencil
• a black waterproof fineliner pen
• a basic set of watercolour paints (see my colours below) 
• a small round watercolour brush
• tissue/rag
• jar of clean water
• white gel pen / gouache paint 

I also use a spare piece of scrap paper and a small spray water bottle.

This is an online version of a full day workshop so will cover plenty of sketching tips and techniques.
